Studio-X has produced state approval packages for award winning multi-family projects throughout the Western United States and Canada. We are now taking that expertise and applying it to the single family market.

Technologies & Formats:

We utilize the latest in 3D CAD systems (Revit 2010) for building modeling.

We also use Revit MEP for our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing modeling. This is key to assuring that your project will work right the first time, exactly the way it was planned.

Studio-X will provide the factory team with AutoCAD plans of every drawing in the package so the internal staff/team can reduce their work load by leveraging our package as the foundation for production shop drawings.

Studio-X uses a specific and consistent drawing format every time so the factory team knows what to expect.

In an effort to create an affordable and consistent service, Studio-X does not create factory specific drawing packages (i.e. drawing formats, layer schemes, etc.), but utilizes industry standard layers

Studio-X will request certain information from the factory in order to create a standard setup that adheres to their building practices (including, but not limited to construction practices, windows, doors, common construction materials, typical module sizes, wall heights, trusses, etc.)

Studio-X will plan all cabinetry as standard box cabinets only.

3D renderings & Virtual Walk through services are available upon request through our approved resources.

Initial Plan Development

Studio-X takes your plan, sketch, etc. and elevation information then develops a working 3D model of the structure that can be presented back to the client for approval.

This service allows for one round of comments and design adjustments from the client.

This service is where Studio-X determines how the home will be constructed.

Studio-X will produce a package containing the following information:
- Presentation Floor Plan(s)
- Elevations (4 Sides)
- Roof plan
- 3D Model
- Adequate information for factory pricing of structure
(excludes Customer finish, appliance, fixture & hardware selections)

Use this service to gear up for a new product line.

Opt to have Studio-X continue on and produce the State Approval package or take our AutoCAD files and finish the work internally.

All documents provided to customer or factory in PDF and AutoCAD format.

California State Approvals or City Submittal for Remodels

This service requires the “Design Drafting” services above.

Studio-X will produce the complete State Approval package containing the following information:
- Cover page with all pertinent code and construction information
- Floor Plan(s)
- Elevations
- Non-structural foundation plan
- Roof plan
- Typical cross section
- Typical construction details
- Window & door charts
- Mechanical plan & details
- Plumbing plans and details
- Electrical plan(s)
- Title 24 Compliance report

All documents provided to factory in PDF and AutoCAD format
Structural Engineering:

Upon request, we will coordinate and manage the structural engineering process with one of our preferred/approved Structural Engineering firms.

We have great depth of experience with our Engineers and can take on simple to very complex structures.

Due to the wide number of variables, it is not possible to provide a simple pricing format for structural engineering services.

Studio-X will source and provide a quote for structural engineering upon request.
